Steps
-
Each student should decorate their puppet to their likeness using Wiggle Eyes, Craft Hair and other decorative accessories. Students can create clothes out of felt sheets if time allows.
-
Each student should complete the All About Me Worksheet to accompany their puppet.
-
Once completed, students can present their puppet and worksheet to the class, small groups or with a partner. Encourage students to find similarities and common favorites among each other. Once the presentations are complete, go over the similarities as a class—does anyone share the same birthday or career ambitions? Common favorite foods or animals?
-
Students can take their puppets home at the end of the day, or the teacher can create a classroom display.
