Project Details
Learn a simple weaving technique from the video below to create a fun and friendly dinosaur.
Steps
-
Secure six Artstraws with a rubber band and begin weaving using the above weaving technique, increasing the diameter to 1" for four complete rotations.
-
To create the neck, decrease the diameter to the narrowest possible width and continue to weave until the neck is approximately 4" long, adding more Artstraws as needed.
-
Start to increase the diameter gradually until it measures 4" across. Maintain this width for three to four complete rotations before gradually decreasing the width.
-
Continue to decrease the diameter to the narrowest possible width and continue to weave to create a tail. Finish by gluing the last straws in place and trimming the excess.
-
To create legs, weave six straws to a 1" diameter and continue until the length of the straws is used up (approximately 2-3/8"). Repeat to create four legs and glue into position on the underside of the body.
-
Add Wiggle Eyes and any other decorations desired on the dinosaur.
